One way of earning some cash from your photographs is to sell them through microstock photographic agencies.

These are agencies that work on the "pile 'em high, sell 'em cheap' principle.

There are two that I recommend:

Shutterstock was one of the first agencies in this field and has become a market leader. This is probably now the top microstock agency. If you have the right sort of images with them you could be earning $500 a month or more. However, be warned, their standards are high and it is now difficult to get accepted. You need high-quality, noise-free photographs of the right sort of subject. Holiday snaps of your family, flowers, sunsets or cute piccies of your dog are unlikely to work.

Yay Micro is a newly-started agency and has a more open acceptance policy for images. In other words, they may well take stuff that Shutterstock rejects. However, at the moment sales are slow with them - they are, after all, a start-up company. However, I have high hopes for this agency and you should soon start seeing a return on your images.
